2025 Events
2025 was a milestone year for WISE Seattle, focused on leadership, legacy, and meaningful connection.
The year opened with hands-on learning and career growth, from Snow Sports: Skiing for Women at the REI Flagship with 2024 Women of Inspiration Winner Annette Diggs to our signature Speed Networking Roundtables, bringing industry leaders together across career stages. Spring programming continued with Power Play: Women in Leadership featuring T-Mobile women, allyship-focused conversations, and relaxed Wine Socials that balanced insight with connection.
Throughout the summer, members leaned into purpose and impact, exploring financial legacy-building, gathering for a Summer Social for a Cause tied to World Cup 2026 momentum, and building community at WISE Night Out at the Ballpark. In October, Darla Varrenti was honored as the 2025 Women of Inspiration Award Winner at the Women in Leadership Breakfast, recognizing her life-saving advocacy and impact.
The year culminated with our signature 5th Anniversary Summit & Celebration on November 7, 2025 'part summit, part soirée, all WISE experience honoring five years of growth and setting the stage for what’s next, followed by a festive Holiday Party that closed the year with reflection, celebration, and joy.
2024 Events
2024 was a dynamic and purpose-driven year for WISE Seattle—one that leaned fully into growth, inclusion, and connection across every season.
From kicking off the year with Invest In You, focused on confidence and personal branding through professional headshots, to deep, meaningful conversations around pay equity, mental health, accessibility, and Indigenous representation, our events created space for learning that mattered. Members and guests were engaged in hands-on professional development, timely leadership discussions, and perspective-shifting panels that reflected the real experiences of women working in sports and business today.
The year also celebrated the power of community. Intentional networking experiences challenged members to connect more authentically, while lighter social moments from summer Wine Down Wednesdays to our high-energy Jingle & Jive holiday party, strengthened relationships and joy within the network. Signature moments, including honoring Annette Diggs as the 2024 Women of Inspiration winner and spotlighting Pride and DEI initiatives, reinforced WISE Seattle’s commitment to representation, equity, and impact.
Together, 2024 events balanced purpose with play, courage with celebration, and professional growth with human connection—continuing to build a vibrant, inclusive community where women are supported, seen, and empowered to evolve.

2023 was a year where WISE Seattle’s events showcased our commitment to holistic growth—blending wellness, professional development, and community engagement.
From unlearning diet culture and confidence-building workshops to dynamic networking roundtables and sports outings, members connected through shared passions and meaningful conversations. Signature events honored Women’s History Month and DEI initiatives, alongside social celebrations and community service, highlighting a supportive and vibrant network dedicated to empowering women in sports and beyond.

Our 2022 community events reflected a vibrant blend of professional development, industry insight, and community celebration.
From mentorship opportunities with leaders across sports and business to signature panels with Amazon, HR executives, and advocates for Title IX, members gained valuable knowledge and inspiration. Hands-on experiences—from learning golf basics to exploring the brewing industry—paired with game outings, seasonal parties, and financial planning sessions, created a well-rounded calendar that fostered both career growth and genuine connection among WISE Seattle members.

WISE Seattle members engaged in thought-provoking conversations on diversity, equity, and representation, learned from industry leaders including Olympians, journalists, and Seattle’s pro teams, and built practical skills in areas like financial literacy and personal branding. From panel discussions at Nike and behind-the-scenes tours with NHL Seattle to volunteer days with Habitat for Humanity, WISE Seattle blended networking and learning with unique local adventures.
