Our very own WISE Seattle board member, Gina Lambert, participated as a panelist in Impact in Action, an event hosted by Collabor8 Employer Collective in partnership with U.S. Bank.
Collabor8, led by WISE board members Tara Buchan and Dani Carbary, convenes employers, community leaders, and industries to advance equity, belonging, and opportunity across workplaces and communities. Impact in Action brought together leaders from sports, events, and corporate organizations to explore what authentic, equity-driven community partnerships look like in practice.
Gina (Seattle FIFA World Cup 2026) joined leaders from U.S. Bank, the Seattle Storm, Seattle Sounders FC / Reign FC / RAVE Foundation, and Symetra for a candid discussion on how organizations with scale and visibility can move beyond transactional outreach and instead use their platforms, partnerships, and influence to create lasting community impact.
A consistent theme from the conversation was collective responsibility and that meaningful impact is shaped by everyone, from executives to frontline employees. Panelists emphasized that the strongest partnerships are rooted in humility, alignment, and long-term commitment, with organizations listening first and leading with shared purpose.
For leaders in sports and events, the panel highlighted the responsibility that comes with scale: elevating community voices, collaborating across organizations, and investing in partnerships that extend beyond a single season, event or campaign.
Ultimately, Gina and her fellow panelists reinforced that impact moves from intention to action when organizations use their influence responsibly, hold true to their values, and commit to long-term community benefit.
